Online Skills Game Contest Regulation

“Upit Music Game Contest – $5000 Prize Pool”

1. Contest Organizer

The contest organizer is FRVR Limited, a private limited liability company registered under the laws of Malta with the company number C-82019, VAT number MT24548624, with registered head office at 61, St. Paul Street, Valletta, VLT 1212, Malta (“FRVR”), which organizes this skills game contest with the main purpose of increasing its brand awareness and growing the business through the engagement of the users’ community.

2. Purpose and Scope of the Contest

2.1. The contest is called the “Upit Music game Contest” and invites applicants to create and submit games using Upit.com that creatively interpret or incorporate music as a central theme (“Contest”) and that meet the terms and conditions foreseen in this contest regulation (“Regulation”).

2.2. The Upit Music Game Contest theme is intentionally broad and open to interpretation. Games can take inspiration from music, or visually or mechanically respond to audio in various creative ways. Qualifying entries may include, but are not limited to:

  • Rhythm-based gameplay, where music influences timing, pace, or scoring.

  • Visualizer-inspired visuals, where game elements respond to audio or simulate an aesthetic typically seen in music visualizers.

  • Music-themed environments or stories, such as worlds built around a track, music genre, or musical instruments.

2.3. The total prize pool is $5000 (five thousand USD).

2.4. The Contest will consist of the following phases:

  • Submission Period: From May 29, 2025, to June 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

  • Measurement Period: From June 29, 2025, to July 13, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Games must be submitted by the end of the Submission Period to be eligible for judging and awards.

3. Recipients and Participation Conditions

3.1. Any natural person may participate in the Contest.

3.2. Minors under the age of 18 (eighteen) years old must present a statement signed by their parents or legal representatives authorizing their participation in the Contest and the processing of their personal data by FRVR and the minor shall seek the parents or legal representatives' assistance with any aspect of the Contest, in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Regulation.

3.3. To ensure fairness and equality of circumstances for applicants, the participation by FRVR and FRVR’s subsidiaries employees, family members, or any other person that might have privileged information regarding the Contest or that helped to set up the Contest, is expressly prohibited.

4. Terms and Conditions

4.1. To enter, applicants must:

  • Create a music-themed game using the Upit game creator.

  • Tag the game with #UpitMusicContest

  • Submit the game via the official submission form prior to the submission deadline through the following link: Submission form.

4.2. Games may be either:

  • Original creations, or

  • Remixes of existing games, provided the remix introduces new creative content.

4.3. Participants may submit multiple games, each as a separate submission.

4.4. Games may be published and submitted at any point during the Submission Period.

4.5. Applicants may update their game until the end of the Submission Period. Edits after that point are allowed, but only metrics recorded during the Measurement Period will be used for evaluation.

4.6. All games must be made public at the time of submission.

4.7. FRVR is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete submission data that leads to disqualification.

4.8. If the same game is submitted more than once, only the first valid submission will be considered.

4.9. Participants may promote their games through any legal means. However, fraudulent metric manipulation (e.g., bots, fake accounts) will result in disqualification.

4.10. FRVR reserves the right to disregard or disqualify any submission for any of the following reasons:

  • Violation of these terms

  • Intellectual property infringement

  • Inappropriate or offensive content

  • Thematic irrelevance

  • Or any other reason deemed valid by FRVR

4.11. Participation in the Contest implies full acceptance of this Regulation.

5. Prizes and Awarding of Prizes

5.1. A total prize pool of $5000 will be distributed as follows:

  • Judge’s Favorite: $1,750

  • Most Popular: $1,250

  • Community Favorite: $1,250

  • Honorable Mentions (3): $250 each

5.2. Engagement and performance data will be collected and evaluated only during the Measurement Period.

5.3. FRVR will verify and analyze game metrics independently of what is displayed on the Upit platform, in order to identify and exclude any suspicious activity.

5.4. Winners will be contacted within 60 days after the end of the Measurement Period. They must provide valid identification and a bank or PayPal account to receive the prize.

5.5. Prize payments will be processed within 30 days after winner confirmation.

5.6. If a winner cannot be reached within 5 days, FRVR reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

5.7. Each individual participant may win only one prize.

5.8. Team entries are permitted. One team leader must be designated. FRVR is not responsible for how the prize is distributed among team members.

5.9. Maltese residents must declare any received prize to the appropriate tax authorities.

5.10. Prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable for other rewards.

5.11. Failure to provide payment information will result in forfeiture of the prize.

5.12. Any natural person resident in countries subject to, among others, European Union and United States economic sanctions may participate in the Contest but FRVR cannot guarantee — for reasons beyond FRVR's control — that these participants will receive the payments due under this Regulation. FRVR will use its best endeavors to promptly execute all payments. If not possible, FRVR will retry to execute such payment when possible.

6. Selection Criteria and Evaluation

6.1. Winners will be selected in the following categories:

  • Judge’s Favorite: Chosen by FRVR based on creativity, execution, and relevance to the theme.

  • Most Popular: Based on the number of unique game plays recorded during the Measurement Period. 

  • Community Favorite: Game with the highest number of Upit platform upvotes during the Measurement Period.

  • Honorable Mentions: Selected by FRVR for overall excellence, innovation, or distinctive design.

6.2. To ensure fairness, only authentic engagement from real users will be counted. Any activity involving bots, fake accounts, or other manipulative practices to artificially inflate metrics will be disregarded.

6.3. FRVR will analyze and verify engagement data to ensure the selection is based on legitimate, human participation.

6.4. The decisions taken by the jury are final and definitive.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. The applicant shall be the author of the game, which cannot contain any content, element, or material that violates a third party's intellectual property rights.

7.2. The applicant assigns to FRVR the full ownership of the game and any inherent intellectual property rights, without the applicant being entitled to any type of compensation or indemnity, except as outlined in this Regulation.

7.3. The applicant is solely responsible for the game created and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless FRVR from and against any third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, obligations, penalties, judgments, awards, costs, expenses, and/or disbursements that may arise from the artwork and any violation of third-party rights.

8. Applicable Law

This Regulation is governed by Maltese Law.
